A classic clay mask meets super greens + matcha green tea for an intense detoxifying treatment!
- BENTONITE CLAY is produced from naturally occurring volcanic ash sediments (mined from up to thousands of feet within the earth!) and once hydrated, bentonite clay significantly swells up and produces an electrical charge, allowing it to absorb excess oil and impurities, including toxins, heavy metals and chemicals (giving skin an incredibly CLEAR appearance).
- KAOLIN CLAY | White kaolin clay is the gentlest of all clays and is used to cleanse and exfoliate while encouraging circulation (for that beautiful GLOW!).
- ALFALFA | Alfalfa powder has been used since ancient times for its incredibly high nutrient content. It is a valuable source of vitamins A, B1, B6, B12, C, E, K1, niacin, pantothenic acid, biotin and folic acid, as well as amino acids, minerals and many trace elements! WOW!
- KELP | Kelp Powder, an AMAZING sea vegetable that grows in oceanic forests, beautifies the skin, calms the appearance of inflammation, and nourishes and moisturizes the skin. Containing Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, polysaccharides, Vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, it is a wonderful ingredient for a facial mask! We use organic kelp powder that is sourced from pristine Iceland waters that are protected from the pollution of the ocean.
- MATCHA | much more potent than regular green tea, Matcha contains high levels of chlorophyll, a powerful polyphenol. Unlike regular green tea, Matcha is grown in the shade and fully protected from the sun for a month prior to harvesting, inhibiting photosynthesis and allowing high amounts of chlorophyll to accumulate in the leaves, which are then hand-picked and stone-ground into a fine, silky powder! The high levels of chlorophyll in Matcha act as a potent anti-inflammatory to reduce redness and hyperpigmentation, speed skin cell turnover, and calm blemishes. Matcha is particularly high in tannins, astringents that cleanse the skin, decrease excess sebum and reduce pore size.
HOW TO USE + ENJOY
Cleanse your face and pat dry with a clean cloth.
Add a scoopful of the mask into a small non-metallic container or the palm of your hand. Add water, drop by drop until a smooth, spreadable consistency.
Using your fingers or a clean makeup brush, apply a thin layer of the mixture onto clean skin, avoiding the eye area.
While the mask is wet, your skin is absorbing its beneficial minerals. As it begins to dry, it is stimulating blood flow to the skin's surface, boosting circulation while absorbing impurities and excess oil. Once the mask begins to feel tight [before it is completely dry] it is time to remove it.
To remove the mask, saturate a clean soft cloth with warm water and gently wipe off the skin, using a clean section of the cloth for each swipe. Continue to rinse/wet the facecloth as needed until the mask is removed.
Follow with one of our facial serums or creams.
Use once a week to start, and increase or decrease frequency according to your skin needs.
